Ayigya is one of the vibrant and fast-growing neighbourhoods in Kumasi as a result of the influence of the university (K.N.U.S.T) that sits very close by. Therefore, a design of a commercial facility for this neighbourhood arose a zeal for a perfect blend of dynamism and functionality, aesthetics and efficiency which would be tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses and their clientele. Central to its conception was the creation of a versatile space that enhances productivity and customer experience. The layout was strategically planned such that pedestrians had enough space to maneuver without being distracted or put in harm’s way by separating car parking spaces. The design considered the integration of advanced technologies and thoughtful material selection (wood, reinforced concrete, glass) to ensure durability and sustainability. The entirety of the design accommodated a variety of commercial activities such as restaurants, food courts, retail shops outlets, library, office spaces, swimming pool, recreation amongst others while providing flexibility for future adaptations.
